My recent stay at Sleep Inn Decatur I-72 had its ups and downs. On one hand, the room was clean and the bed was quite comfy, but it unfortunately had a lingering smell like an old ashtray, not what you'd expect from a non-smoking room. Thankfully, Victoria at the front desk was a ray of sunshine, going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met—she deserves all the accolades! The amenities were solid, with an indoor pool and hot tub perfect for unwinding after a day of adventures. Plus, the complimentary breakfast featuring Belgian waffles was a real treat for my family and me, adding some sweetness to our mornings. Despite the room’s scent, the overall convenience and welcoming atmosphere made for a decent escape, especially after our fantastic experience at a Sleep Inn in Pennsylvania. If you're in Decatur, it's worth a visit—just hope for a better-smelling room!
